While many of us might be regular at practicing yoga and meditation as a part of our daily routines, practicing the same in closed rooms in cities is different from practicing it in a natural atmosphere like the wilds of Himalayas.

In this 3 night 4 day spiritual retreat we bring to you the very basics of Yoga in the midst of wilderness of Great Himalayan National Park Ecozone in Shanghar, where your mind and body will receive it the best and results will be surprising. Trust us!

Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP) is India’s youngest national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, India.

Shanghar is a remote & exotic Himalayan hamlet at an altitude of around 6000 feet ASL situated in Sainj valley in Kullu surrounded by GHNP and is home to beautiful golf ground like natural meadow which belongs to local mythological head (Shangchul Mahadev) hidden & protected from onslaught of regular party tourists.

MEET OUR YOGA EXPERT - TANYA ROY

Meet Tanya Roy, the Hopeless Wanderer & Modern Yogi. She has traveled vastly in the Himalayas and is also a very passionate travel writer and trekker. She intends on creating a holistic responsible tourism culture along with local economy and community development.  Her passion towards conserving environment and healing people led her to becoming a Hatha Yoga Instructor, through teaching Yoga in the Himalayas she wishes to bring healing and inner peace to people and helping them understand the importance of living in harmony with nature. She has lead several Yoga treks and helped find people their paths. She believes in inspiring and empowering.

Day By Day Plan

Day 1  | Introduction to Shanghar & Spirituality

 Arrive in Shanghar
 Check in to twin sharing homestay rooms
 Visit the serene Shangharh meadow for lunch, meet our yoga expert for an introductory yoga session
 Guided visit to Shangharh Village and ancient Shangchul Mahadev temple
 Witness the spectacular sunset from the meadow and move to home stay
 Tea/Coffee, Snacks
 Dinner followed by debrief 
 Overnight stay in rooms

DAY 1

Day 2 | UNWIND & MEDITATE 

 Wake up – Morning Meditation
 Tea
 Asana class followed by breakfast at homestay
 Move to Shanghar meadow for group discussion followed by local lunch
 Witness the beautiful sunset from the meadow and relax
 Tea/Coffee, Snacks
 Dinner followed by meditation
 Overnight Stay in rooms in homestay

DAY 2

 Day 3| SILENT JUNGLE WALK & CAMPING UNDER THE STARS

 Morning Meditation
 Tea followed by Asana Class
 Breakfast
 Checkout rooms, lock your stuff and keep it at our safe place at homestay
 Today we walk to a beautiful secluded location in the wild 4 kms ahead of Shanghar in GHNP Ecozone
 Have lunch witnessing some unbelievable vistas of Great Himalayan National Park ranges around
 Meditation session at the campsite nearby to a small glacial waterstream
 Tea/Coffee, Bonfire, Snacks while litsening to the stories of ancient yogis & yogic life under the stars followed by dinner
 Overnight Stay in tents under the million stars

DAY 3

 Day 4| FINAL WISDOM & RETURN

 Morning meditation and Asana class in the outdoor (brief on)
 Breakfast with amazing views of Shenshar & Banaugi mountain ranges of GHNP
 Pickup from campsite to Shanghar
 Pick your stuff from homestay. Our services end here, start your return journey
