This high Himalayan region of cold desert in Jammu and Kashmir state of India stands with pride at the height of 4000 meters above sea level.
Ladakh originally means the Land of high passes, that gave rise to a famous saying among Ladakhi locals that “land is so barren and passes are so high that only the best of friends and fiercest of enemies come to visit us”. This aspect of Ladakh makes it a perfect destination for adventure lovers across the globe. Interestingly Ladakh is home to three top motorable roads of the world, Khardung La, Tanglang La & Chang La which are first, second and third highest roads of the world as claimed by BRO, India.
