Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP) is India’s youngest national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, India.

Shanghar is a remote & exotic Himalayan hamlet at an altitude of around 6000 feet ASL situated in Sainj valley in Kullu surrounded by GHNP and is home to beautiful golf ground like natural meadow which belongs to local mythological head (Shangchul Mahadev) hidden & protected from onslaught of regular party tourists.

Day By Day Plan

Day 1  | Introduction to Great Himalayan National Park

 Arrive in GHNP Ropa complex, checkin to rooms
 6 kms easy Walk to Neuli and back, introduction to birds and ecology of GHNP
 Snacks, bonfire, dinner
 Overnight stay in rooms in Ropa

DAY 1

Day 2 | Go higher in GHNP Ecozone

 Tea/coffee and breakfast at the stay
 Today we hike for 5 kms to Shanghar observing the wildlife and various birds of GHNP
 Reach Shanghar. Guided visit to Shanghar meadow and Shangchul Mahadev temple
 Checkin to luxury homestay rooms
 Snacks, bonfire dinner
 Overnight Stay in rooms in Shanghar

DAY 2

 Day 3| FINAL WALK & RETURN

 Tea/coffee and breakfast at the stay
 Walk of  6 kms to Khastar waterfall and back
 Checkout from home stay after lunch
 Program end here, start your return journey
