Who We Are

Not a Single Accident — Not Even a Minor Mishap — Has Occurred in Any of Our Guided Groups Since Inception.

Moto Himalayas is the international adventure motorcycling brand of Himalayan Monk Riders Associates Private Limited (HMRA Pvt. Ltd.) — a company born from deep respect for the Himalayas and an uncompromising commitment to safe high-altitude riding.

We are not just tour organizers.
We are riders who built the kind of Himalayan expeditions we once wished existed.

Since beginning professional road operations in 2013, we have conducted close to 500 guided motorcycle expeditions across the Himalayan regions of India — Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Ladakh, Kashmir, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh — as well as Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet.

OUR STORY

Moto Himalayas 2012
The Spark
2012

In August 2012, during a motorcycle ride in Ladakh with like-minded friends, a powerful realization emerged. Poor route guidance and lack of reliable high-altitude information made the journey unnecessarily risky and stressful.

"What if Himalayan motorcycle expeditions were professionally guided, responsibly structured, and safety-first — without losing the spirit of adventure?"
Then a motorcycle group was born - "Himalayan Monk Riders Association"
Moto Himalayas 2013
The Foundation
2013

On June 6, 2013, HMRA Pvt. Ltd. was officially founded in New Delhi registering as a private limited company with government of India by four long-distance riders :

  • Sharad Tyagi
  • Sutirtha Sanyal
  • Deepak Gaba
  • Navdeep Dahiya

Their mission was clear: To organize professionally guided motorcycle expeditions in high-altitude Himalayan regions with unmatched safety standards.
